Description/Comment: Material Handler

Position Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for the physical and administrative tasks involved in the receipt, storage, distribution, labeling, and shipping of GMP materials, chemicals and supplies.
The Role
Participate in project work as needed to achieve department goals
Perform routine physical tasks involved in shipping, receiving, storing, labeling, and distributing of products/inventory
Maintain storage area by organizing floor and rack space
Keep warehouse equipment in good repair by performing daily preventative maintenance tasks
Inspect all items for quality and damages in the receiving, storing, labeling, and shipping processes, report findings to management
Advise management of shortages or discrepancies in inventory levels
Responsible for labeling, transport, and staging of production materials to support production schedules
Operate machinery such as sit-down or stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks to perform routine physical handling of items
Perform inventory labeling, re-labeling, and printing as directed and in adherence to procedural steps
Other duties as assigned

The Candidate
High School diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment preferred
Experience with utilization of barcoding equipment desired
