Summary of Role:

You will provide support to our Personal Insurance Account Management Team regarding internal market placement by quoting existing business that is identified for remarketing in an effort to provide the best insurance program for our clients. This role requires a good understanding of the insurance market, strong communication skills, and the ability to work proactively and efficiently. It's a vital role that helps ensure clients are provided with the best possible insurance program. While in this role, you should be:

Quoting existing business for remarketing: This involves analyzing current insurance policies and finding alternative options that could better serve the client's needs. Maintaining relationships with carrier contacts: This is crucial for staying up-to-date with the latest insurance products and services, which can then be used to provide the best options for clients. Delivering services to the account management team: This could involve providing documentation, answering queries, and ensuring smooth communication between the team and the insurance carriers. Handling remarketing for the Team: Instead of managing a book of business, the focus is on remarketing. This involves finding better insurance options for existing clients, which can help retain clients and ensure their satisfaction.

This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed P&C account manager or other P&C service-professional who wants to transition from daily account management to supporting the Team and handling their remarketing.

This is a full-time position with the flexibility of a hybrid schedule from one of our select East Coast offices. We may consider a remote option for a highly qualified candidate with recent Personal Lines (PL) experience and a current P&C license.

  • Compile client information and develop complete submissions to both carrier and the Account Management team.
  • Identify and raise any potential coverage issues during the information gathering and remarketing process with suggested solutions.
  • Support the Account Management team when requested with client quotations, proposals, and presentations.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss changes in the insurance market, internal issues, carrier relationships/responsiveness/service, and specific account matters.
  • Assist in sharing information and coordinating responses to insurers/wholesalers/reinsurers with regional leadership.
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Work independently and be able to meet deadlines
  • Ability to successfully interact with a variety of people
  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrating reliability and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to adjust to changing workload and priorities
  • Able to coordinate resources and responsibilities
  • Self-motivated with positive attitude
  • Demonstrated knowledge using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Epic (agency management system) a plus
  • Assist with special projects as assigned by management
Education and/or Experience:
  • 3 or more years of brokerage or carrier-related underwriting experience is required
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of various PL carriers
  • P&C license required upon hire
  • Industry designation (e.g. CIC, CPCU, ARM) preferred
  • Experience with EPIC or other agency management systems preferred
