Systems Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Provide direct user support for a technology system supporting procurement functions. Provide timely assistance to end users, regarding both system and business process questions, escalating issues to the appropriate group as required. Participate in system releases through all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, development, testing, training, roll-out, and end-user support. Understand the client's environment and how to translate real world needs into technical specifications to provide customer focused solutions. Design procurement system solutions in support of the firm's overall mission. Evaluate and modernize the firm's procurement system. Develop skills in the design and solutioning of the procurement system while gaining experience in procurement industry. Assist management with ad-hoc data analysis requests as needed. Grow your skills by merging procurement and system support to create impactful changes to improve how we do business. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with data analysis, defect reporting, requirements gathering, or system testing
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products, including SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience supporting web-based systems
  • Experience with customer service
  • Knowledge of data governance principles
  • Ability to multitask and respond to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and be collaborative as part of a team
  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with JIRA, ServiceNow, or Ivalua
  • Experience with supporting an IT Help Desk
  • Experience with developing and maintaining detailed technical documentation
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL to execute queries
  • Knowledge of the procurement industry, including in the U.S. federal government contracting industry
  • Ability to learn new software tools and techniques quickly and resolve complex technical issues
  • Ability to communicate with end users in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively respond to user queries
  • Possession of excellent troubleshooting skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
