We are looking for:Smart people with a passion for technologyAbility to solve challenging technical business problemsSelf-directed professionalsHunger to continually learn and grow*Position is contingent upon award and the actual job description may vary based on specific contract requirements and organizational needs.Responsibilities:Manage systems engineering activities including requirements analyses, functional analyses, design solutions formulation, systems analysis and control, and generation and maintenance of systems architecture productsApply system engineering principles and procedures to translate quantified needs/requirements into system performance parameters and the identification of system/item configurationFormulate and issue systems engineering documents, processes, procedures and milestonesProvide expert and authoritative advice affecting critical programs and technologiesServe as subject matter expert for all technical aspects of assigned programPerform top level design, development, integration, testing, installation, and troubleshootingTranslate military operational and mission requirements into practical system concepts and performance specificationsDevelop and maintain technical documentation such as specifications, engineering drawings, system interface requirements, and engineering changesParticipate in post awards, program reviews, design reviews, and IPTs as the project engineer and/or technical expert on assigned programsEvaluate design efforts to ensure integration of all the engineering disciplinesRequirements:Master of Science in related technical fieldFifteen (15) plus years of experience in a similar roleExtensive knowledge of the Systems Engineering Management Process and Implementation, as applied to the Department of Army/DOD Acquisition process throughout all life cycle phasesKnowledge of DOD policies on Systems Engineering, Integrated Product and Process Development (IPPD) and IPT ManagementMust have the ability to coordinate and negotiate design and engineering activities with other related programs and organizationsSec + desiredActive clearanceThis job posting sets forth the authorities and responsibilities of this position, which may be changed from time to time as shall be determined.
