Job description

Responsibilities include working on assigned work orders and preventative maintenance while performing repairs and maintenance of mechanical apparatuses, equipment and systems ensuring the work is performed in accordance with all relevant codes and safety standards.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC and mechanical equipment and systems, test & monitor mechanical systems, equipment, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problemPerform inspections and preventative maintenance on all HVAC and mechanical equipment per checklists and/or manufacturers proceduresEnsures the proper function of mechanical safety devicesMonitors work done by staff and subcontractors for adherence to all building code requirementsAssists in the writing of specifications for repairs, preventative maintenance, standard operating procedures, and emergency operating proceduresDocument work accomplished utilizing maintenance tracking forms, checklists, and logbooksAnalyze and responds safely and appropriately to routine and emergency calls for repairs and serviceE-test equipment properly and interpret result readingsFollow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment in a clean and proper mannerFollow quality control standards, safety regulations, standard operating procedures, good management practices, and good sanitation practicesAdvise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardousAll other duties assigned by managementQualificationsHigh school graduate or GED equivalencyCurrent Virginia Journeyman HVAC LicenseMust have current or active Top Secret clearanceMust be able to respond to emergency call after normal business hoursMinimum 4 years on the job HVAC and Mechanical maintenance trainingBasic computer logic and programmingFluency in spoken and written English languageAbility to reach schematic drawingsKnowledge of methods, practices, and safety procedures followed in the maintenance of electrical, HVAC, and mechanical equipmentKnowledge of materials, tools, equipment, and systems used with building operation and the HVAC tradeKnowledge of State and Federal Codes and regulations pertaining to the electrical tradeWorking knowledge of boiler equipment, including water pumps, water mixing valves and controlsWorking knowledge of all closed loop chilled water systemsAlignment to Clark Standards of Excellence: Self-Motivated, Results Oriented, Adaptable, Team Player, Accountable, Ethical, Innovative, Resilient, Builds RelationshipsClark Construction Group is one of the largest building and infrastructure companies in the United States.Our portfolio spans every major building market, from public to private, corporate to cultural, education to entertainment, and the infrastructure connecting it all power, transportation, water, and roadways.
