Maintenance lead-Within 75 miles of Baltimore

Pay $75-$90K

We are looking for a Maintenance lead with experience in PLASTICS or a continuous process such as aluminum extrusion, paper, roofing, or similar industries. We are looking for experience with equipment and electronics such as: Motors, Drives, air compressors, chillers, grinders, water pumps, PLC/HMI controls, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulics experience. We are looking for someone who loves to be hands-on and who is willing to work side by side with their team when needed for training and during emergency situations. Maintenance Manager Responsibilities

  • Determine corrective actions when responding to equipment and controls problems.
  • Communicate to relevant manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance parties the status of equipment-systems and time frame required to complete maintenance tasks
  • Performs both scheduled PM and repair work on a wide variety of electrical, electro-mechanical, controller and PLC based equipment and systems
  • Support implementation of upgrades and new engineering/?maintenance projects
  • Correct or report equipment malfunctions or unsafe operational practices
  • Takes proactive steps to correct and/?or report equipment and system issues, as well as safety concerns
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement activities as needed to improve throughput, reduce scrap, or improve product properties.
  • Ensure SAFETY is of paramount importance to all in that you interface with, and take necessary actions to ensure equipment and/?or environment is safe and consistent with relevant laws, codes and/?or governing polices.?

Required skills and qualifications for the Maintenance Manager:

  • At least 5 years of solid maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to utilize electrical meters and repair electrical equipment such as relays, circuits, motors, and troubleshoot and repair computer, PLC and servo driven equipment.
  • Two+ years of repairing processing equipment: material vacuum transfer systems, water pumps, grinders, chillers, hydraulics, motors, PLC's, wastewater handling, and other common industrial equipment such as switches and air compressors.
  • Ability to read prints and schematics of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Applicant must be a US Citizen or permanent resident. No sponsorship provided.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to be able to: document problems and corrective actions, requisition replenishment of spare parts (MRO), and able to explain the significance of a breakdown.
  • Ability to use torches, welders, grinders.
