The Cedarville University School of Allied Health and Psychology offers a CAATE accredited Master of Athletic Training degree. We seek a full time, 12-month, faculty member (tenure track eligible) for our continuing Masters of Athletic Training Program.
MAT Program Faculty have academic, scholarship and service responsibilities consistent with the mission and philosophy of the program and university. Faculty have twenty-four semester credit hours of teaching responsibility, or the equivalent, each academic year of two semesters. Some summer teaching may also be necessary.
This position is subject to the University's verification of credentials along with other information required by law and Cedarville University policies, including the successful completion of a background check. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. This position is pending budget approval.
Position Requirements:
Terminal degree in discipline (completed or in progress)
ATC credential holder for a minimum of 5 years in good standing with Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer
Documented successful teaching experience at the college level
Licensed in good standing or eligible to obtain a license as an Athletic Trainer in the State of Ohio
Working knowledge of CAATE accreditation standards and current Athletic Training Competencies
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team member
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Eligibility for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or above, including an earned doctoral degree from an appropriately accredited college or university
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and student counseling skills
Commitment to scholarship with recent scholarly publications/presentations
Current knowledge and skill in educational / programmatic assessment
Active professional involvement at the local, state, district, and/or national levels
Previous experience as a clinically practicing Athletic Trainer and preceptor, ideally at an NCAA institution
Previous experience using Typhon educational program management software
Commitment to biblical integration of faith and science in and out of the classroom
Qualified applicant must be a born-again Christian
