Asset Management Specialist

to support a federal agency's large, mission-critical, hybrid infrastructure. We are building out an amazing team of high-impact technology professionals, and we want you to be a part of our ongoing transformation. This candidate works to support asset management initiatives across the customer environment. Day-to-day activities range from collaborating with technical staff, to making recommendations on asset management of issues, risks, and project change request to ensure successful and on time project delivery. The preferred candidate will have excellent communications skills, a strong customer service orientation and experience managing and developing schedule for small to medium projects.Your Role and Responsibilities;Demonstrable experience with hardware, software and document configuration management processes, procedures and products.Decal and test new equipment, including applying asset tags, labels, and other identifying information to new equipment, as well as testing the equipment to ensure that it is working properly.Unbox and inspect returned equipment. When equipment is returned, the asset technician must unbox it and inspect it for any damage. If the equipment is damaged, the asset technician will need to document the damage and notify the appropriate personnel.Prepare equipment for disposal. When equipment is no longer needed, the asset technician will need to prepare it for disposal. This may include wiping the hard drive, removing any sensitive data, and recycling the equipment.Maintain asset inventory records and accurate records of all equipment in the organization, including tracking the location of each piece of equipment, as well as its condition and status.Provide support to other IT staff, including answering questions about asset management procedures, or aiding with asset tracking and inventory.Demonstrable experience of managing assets including documentation, hardware, virtual devices, software, licensesDemonstrable experience administering and maintaining a software licensing, asset management and configuration management.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in IT-related field and 6+ years of experience in asset management and using asset management tracking tools, additional years of applicable experience will be accepted in lieu of a degreeAbility to work independently, with minimal supervision and work effectively in a collaborative team environment while keeping the team informed.Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to collaborate with testers, systems engineers, architects, software developers, management as well as ability to work with multiple teams to release softwareDemonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and adapt quickly to changing requirementsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Project or similar project management tool.Actively monitor, track, and manage project tasks, timelines, attainment of established milestones, and overall project qualityExcellent customer facing skills. Ability to potentially interact with senior staff in the agency and scientific community;Ability to work/ collaborate with different contractor and government teams as well as industry and vendors with a high level of professionalism, good judgment, and tact.Desired Qualifications:PMP, ITIL4 Foundations Certification (or ability to obtain certification in 3 months)Original Posting Date: 2024-05-30 While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range: Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
