Job Overview:

The Systems Engineer - WebMethods Administration Specialist will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the WebMethods integration platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with WebMethods, a strong background in systems engineering, and a passion for solving complex technical challenges.

Your responsibilities:

WebMethods Administration:

  • Install, configure, and maintain WebMethods integration servers and components.
  • Monitor WebMethods environments to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to WebMethods software.
System Performance and Optimization:
  • Analyze system performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WebMethods integration solutions.
  • Optimize system configurations for scalability and reliability.
Integration Solutions:
  • Design and implement integration solutions using WebMethods to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and data flow between systems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for integration processes and configurations.
Security and Compliance:
  • Implement security best practices for WebMethods environments.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
Support and Maintenance:
  • Provide technical support for WebMethods-related issues, including on-call support as needed.
  • Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures for WebMethods environments.
  • Coordinate with vendors for support and issue resolution.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand integration requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on system status and project progress.
  • Train and mentor junior team members on WebMethods administration and best practices.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on WebMethods administration.
  • Proficiency in WebMethods components, including Integration Server, Broker, and Universal Messaging.
  • Strong knowledge of web services (SOAP/REST), XML, XSLT, and related technologies.
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization of integration platforms.
  • Familiarity with security practices and compliance standards related to integration solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in WebMethods Administration or related technologies.
  • Experience with cloud-based integration solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
