As the WarehouseManager, you will manage and supervise the receiving, handling, storing, picking, packing, returns, and shipping activities within the warehouse. You will ensure the completion of all warehouse processes. You oversee the storage and distribution operations of products and materials. Plan, develop, and implement warehouse safety and security programs and activities. With that focus in mind, having high expectations and standards for quality with contracted warehousing, distribution, and freight shipments is key to success. You will contribute by;
Responsible of overseeing the shipping and receiving of products.
Perform administrative tasks necessary to run warehouse operations.
The optimization of the warehouse organization - and the existing logistics processes, as well as the responsibility for the daily business
Act as the responsible leader for the Warehouse providing leadership, direction, and motivation to ensure the completion of Warehouse objectives
Hire, develop, motivate, and deploy a high performing team of associates, set weekly work schedules, and manage labor costs as a percentage of gross profit
Supervise the shipping and receiving functions ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inbound and outbound shipments
Monitor staff to ensure that all machines and equipment are operated in a safe manner
Monitor compliance with legal requirements regarding load securing, transport regulations, and the observance of customs regulations
Maintaining physical and system controls to safeguard inventory and assets
Arranging for timely receipt of products and coordination with inventory control to update availability and for the prompt shipment of orders
Compliance and continuous updating of KPIs and definition of measures together with the Sales Team
Continuous process improvement according to the Lean philosophy
Responsibility for the order processing for Modification Center.
Control of the processes in the interface to production.
Selection, training, development, motivation, review, and control of employees to assure continuity of efficient operations. Communicates regularly to management on issues including KPIs and personnel.
Responsible for measuring and controlling costs including labor & for productivity and efficiency gains.
Other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for is:
4-year Degree in Engineering, Logistics, or Business Management related preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of warehouse/logistics management experience in an industrial company
Relevant practical experience in the fields of storage management, loading, and transport
Must be computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office as well as experience with warehouse management systems (i.e. SAP)
Must also be able to communicate effectively, i.e. staff meetings, employee reviews, reporting, etc.
Ability to work independently and as a team member utilizing reliable working methods
Must have prior supervisory experience.
Flexible, productive with managing time independently and collaboratively
Ability to learn and implement compliance with OSHA standards
