Description

ORBIS is looking for a Systems Engineer to support our government customer. We are looking for a Systems Engineer who seeks innovative solutions for designing, implementing, and managing complex systems. The systems engineer will work closely with team members and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • The Contractor shall develop and implement solutions to meet technical specifications and standards.
  • The Contractor shall gather and analyze user or client requirements to determine system objectives and constraints.
  • The Contractor shall identify and troubleshoot any issues or inefficiencies during the testing phase.
  • The Contractor shall pursue different technologies as directed by the Sponsor.
  • The Contractor shall document design plans, technical specifications, user manuals, and system configurations
  • The Contractor shall identify potential risks or vulnerabilities within the system and develop strategies to mitigate these risks
  • The Contractor shall collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, hardware engineers, project managers, and stakeholders.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • A Bachelor's degree is required for this position.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Systems Engineer role in the IC.
  • U.S. Citizen
  • TS/SCI with polygraph
  • Demonstrated experience developing detailed design and associated deliverables.
  • Demonstrated experience translating customer and system requirements into design.
  • Demonstrated experience designing system interfaces.
  • Demonstrated experience with networking fundamentals, operations, and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated experience with Security Control Frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience with using NIST standards
  • Demonstrated experience developing accessibility standards.
  • Demonstrated recent experience with the Sponsor's suite of applications providing repository and search services that enables Sponsor to find the information they need.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Routine video conference and/or in-person meetings.
  • Ability to attend planned meetings within the Washington Metro Area region.
