Description
ORBIS is looking for a Systems Engineer to support our government customer. We are looking for a Systems Engineer who seeks innovative solutions for designing, implementing, and managing complex systems. The systems engineer will work closely with team members and customers.
Key Responsibilities
The Contractor shall develop and implement solutions to meet technical specifications and standards.
The Contractor shall gather and analyze user or client requirements to determine system objectives and constraints.
The Contractor shall identify and troubleshoot any issues or inefficiencies during the testing phase.
The Contractor shall pursue different technologies as directed by the Sponsor.
The Contractor shall document design plans, technical specifications, user manuals, and system configurations
The Contractor shall identify potential risks or vulnerabilities within the system and develop strategies to mitigate these risks
The Contractor shall collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, hardware engineers, project managers, and stakeholders.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
A Bachelor's degree is required for this position.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Systems Engineer role in the IC.
U.S. Citizen
TS/SCI with polygraph
Demonstrated experience developing detailed design and associated deliverables.
Demonstrated experience translating customer and system requirements into design.
Demonstrated experience designing system interfaces.
Demonstrated experience with networking fundamentals, operations, and maintenance.
Demonstrated experience with Security Control Frameworks
Demonstrated recent experience with the Sponsor's suite of applications providing repository and search services that enables Sponsor to find the information they need.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Routine video conference and/or in-person meetings.
Ability to attend planned meetings within the Washington Metro Area region.
