World Wide Public Sector (WWPS) team is looking for an exceptional business development candidate who is excited about helping customers solve their biggest challenges with Advanced Computing in the cloud. The candidate will join our fast growing National Security Sales Team to support sensitive and critical US Defense and Intelligence Community (IC) cloud technologies and activities.


In this role, you will focus on developing customer use cases, adoption, and the go-to-market strategy across multiple intelligence agencies services and collaborate with each account team. You will lead strategic business development activities and engage with customers and prime contractors to influence and accelerate GenAI and adoption.


The ideal candidate will have (1) expertise operating in entrepreneurial and highly matrixed environments, (2) the ability to translate customer requirements into technology solutions with a specialty in high performance computing and other forms of exquisite compute, and (3) past performance growing national security programs. Candidates should have an understanding of the respective community infrastructures, policies, and operational performance requirements.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen and must currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and satisfy other security related requirements.


This position is based in the DC metro area.


Key job responsibilities


- Prospect into compute-intensive buying centers by working closely with AWS account teams and partners.


- Serve as an expert in Advanced Computing, providing specialized sales and enablement.


- Anticipate customer needs for future generations of computation for GenAI and other HPC needs.


- Meet regularly with national security executives and mission owners to understand their mission requirements, existing architectures, and introduce AWS compute services.


- Work closely with Amazon business leaders (such as customer account teams, hardware and software engineering leaders, professional services, and technical program managers).


- Solicit performance feedback, identify and eliminate blockers, and coordinate AWS resources needed to move initiatives forward.


- Identify and establish teaming with key Industry Partners to maximize AWS inclusion in winning opportunity pursuits.


- Identify opportunities for Marketing and Public Policy engagements.


- Leverage Defense and Professional Associations to establish AWS as a thought and industry leader resulting in increasing customer intimacy, nurture existing partners, develop new partners, and discover opportunities.


A day in the life


This is a highly dynamic role, and as such, your typical day could include 2-3 morning meetings with agency executives, program officers, and builders. In the afternoon, you might be leading an internal strategy or working session with key stakeholders from NatSec account teams, service teams, or Professional Services.

Basic Qualifications

- 3 or more years of project management experience in the U.S. Federal government or industry with a track record of delivering results


- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant national security fields


- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above

Preferred Qualifications

- Certifications in Amazon Web Services including Cloud Practitioner, Machine Learning, and/or Solutions Architect


- Project Management certifications (e.g. PMP).


- Masters, PHD, or professional certification in High Performance Computing, AI/ML, Math, Quantum Information Systems and Technologies, or similar accelerated computing technologies.


- Experience developing capture plans, power mapping, competitive business intelligence reports, project schedules, price-to-win models, and pursue/no-pursue recommendations with the Federal Government.


- Demonstrable knowledge of intelligence community procurement, contracting processes, RDT&E, and initiatives from Congress and the White House around accelerated compute
