Description

Youth For Tomorrow is a 501 (c) (3) and a faith based, non-profit organization, founded in 1986 by Hall of Fame Football Coach Joe Gibbs. The organization is large, diverse, experienced and committed to serving at-risk youth. In our residential treatment program, we serve males and females ages 12 to 18 years old to include youth with varying mental health diagnoses, survivors of trauma, PSB, pregnant and parenting teens, and survivors of commercial sexual exploitation.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Conduct virtual psycho-educational interventions to all RTC, Medicaid funded homes. Interventions must be conducted three times per day, to include; morning map, fresh start, and evening reflection.
  • Document psycho-educational interventions for all RTC, Medicaid funded residents. All interventions must be documented within 24 hours of group completion.
  • Create a calendar outlining weekly topics for the psycho-educational interventions.
  • Create a schedule for intervention times and dates.
  • Collaborate with House Coordinators regarding psycho-educational needs of the home, scheduling conflicts, home passes, treatment plan adjustments, etc.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure intervention compliance with all Medicaid funded residents.
  • Utilize GoToMeeting (or other virtual platform approved by YFT) to present all psycho-educational interventions.
  • Communicate with residential personnel regarding supplies needed for psycho-educational groups.
  • Communicate with Treatment Team regarding any Resident concerns or refusals to participate in treatment related interventions.
  • Keep record of all psycho-educational interventions conducted and archive for future use.
Qualifications

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services is required OR actively, continuously pursuing the degree and able to provide evidence of such; OR
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development Certificate (G.E.D.) and 2 years of experience working with children in a Residential Setting.
  • Enroll and successfully complete assigned training and Certification Program for development in our milieu of care.
  • Knowledge and understanding of YFT mission and values;
  • Possess the characteristics and experience to collaborate with and provide appropriate care to residents, gain their respect, guide their development, and participate in their overall treatment program;
  • Ability to provide services in a culturally and linguistically competent manner;
  • Possess the temperament to work with and care for children, and youth, some with special needs in multiple age ranges;
  • Ability to work effectively with the treatment team and other internal and external stakeholders;
  • Adequate and continuous ongoing training and supervision
  • Age 21 or above as per state regulations and standards.
  • Ability to maintain a stable environment.

  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with residents, parents, staff, auditors and licensing agents as well as local and multi-state governments.
  • Ability to think creatively and have knowledge of psycho-educational needs in youth.
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, GoToMeeting, Famcare, Zoom, etc.
  • Ability to present information virtually.
  • Knowledge of treatment plan goals for Residents within the Residential Treatment Center.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid/ PRTF/ Level C requirements.
  • Knowledge of VA DSS and DBHDS programs, initiatives, and systems.
