  • Design and Build:
  • Designs and builds robust and scalable solutions optimized for modern platforms (e.g. Big Data, Relational, No-SQL, and OLAP, OLTP)
  • Data Modeling:
  • Analyzes and translates business needs to create solution data models
  • Works with Business Analysts, Architects, Database Administrators to design conceptual data models and data flows that help the organization's decision-making and customer experience processes
  • Updates and improves local and metadata models
  • Business Intelligence and Analytics:
  • Contributes to the architecture and design of business intelligence solutions
  • High-Level Architecture and Design:
  • Provides technical thought leadership on high-level architecture, data modeling, and big data strategy
  • Standards and Principles:
  • Defines technical principles, vision, and standards for data warehouses
  • Develops ideal data coding practices to ensure consistency within the system
  • Evaluates changes to systems for data related cross-compatibility
  • Data Integration:
  • Develops and implements predictive data analytics data, while ensuring seamless integration
  • Assesses implemented data systems to look for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency
  • Scalability:
  • Ensures the design can scale to handle additional data demands
  • Ensures the delivery of a robust, scalable data architecture aligned with the organization's business goals
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields
  • 10+ years demonstrated experience architecting, documenting, and presenting cloud computing solutions for government clients in analytics, big data, predictive analytics, or AI/ML
  • Relevant certifications like AWS, CDMP, MDM, DBA, SQL, SAP, TOGAF, API, or CISSP is beneficial
  • Requires excellent communication skills; oral, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • The candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or a green card holder and be able to obtain
  • Public Trust clearance
Desired Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working with FDA and or HHS is a huge plus
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Understanding of distributed computing and parallel processing techniquesData Management and Governance:
  • Expertise in data management practices, including data integration, data quality, data governance, and data security
  • Knowledge of data lifecycle management, metadata management, and master data management
  • Comprehensive understanding of data architecture principles, frameworks, and best practices
  • In-depth knowledge of data modeling techniques, including conceptual, logical, and physical models
  • Familiarity with various data storage technologies, such as relational databases (SQL), NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra), Oracle, data warehouses, and data lakes
  • Knowledge of data analytics and visualization techniques
