SEG is a dynamic construction company committed to delivering excellence in building and civil construction projects. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and talented individual to join our Contruction team.


SEG s Civil Foreman is responsible for leading and directing the efforts of civil crews to perform projects at a variety of customer sites. The Civil Foreman will oversee and direct their crew to perform a wide range of physically demanding tasks. Civil Foremen are working foremen and work alongside the crews to complete work in a safe manner which meets or exceeds the quality standards expected by the customer. SEG s Civil Foreman must have the ability to oversee, lead and direct the work of other craft personnel to meet production deadlines, ensure high quality, work safely and keep a clean work site. The Civil Foreman reports to either an SEG Superintendent or Field Operations Manager.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that all tasks are done in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Trains and supervises a crew of production employees.
  • Oversees the daily workflow, assignments, and production operations.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations to crew.
  • Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment.
  • Troubleshoots issues that arise.
  • Ensures all employees always wear personal protective equipment and comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Cleans and prepares specific areas of jobsite as assigned. This may include digging trenches, clearing weeds, cleaning up rubble, debris, and trash.
  • Proficiently use hand power tools and equipment as required.
  • Reports any issues to supervisor or direct manager.
  • Reports equipment in need of repair to supervisor.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Ensure that all work conforms to specifications and is completed in a timely manner with a high level of workmanship.

  • Minimum Qualification

    • Be able to pass criminal background check.
    • 2-5 years experience in leading a civil crew.
    • Must have valid driver license and excellent driving record, CDL preferred.
    • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production operations and machinery.
    • Excellent supervisory and leadership skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports and logs.
