PLATING

Pay Rate Min $ 32.00 /hr - Max $ 32.00 /hr
1st shift

Position Summary: This role will perform mechanical, electrical, and systems troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery in accordance with manufacturer's manuals, diagrams, schematics and sketches for our electroplating shop.

Primary Functions:
Performs mid to expert level break-fix & preventative maintenance. This includes but is not limited to: observing devices in operation to locate root cause of problem; dismantling devices in order to repair defective parts; adjustment of functional parts of devices and control instruments; repair and/or replacement of defective parts; testing of device to observe performance; and performing routine maintenance on electrical circuitry and mechanical/wastewater systems.
Perform routine maintenance as well as diagnose and repair wastewater system equipment, including pumps and control panels.
Identifies and sources parts, supplies and repair items as necessary.
Independently performs maintenance per industry standards.
Troubleshoots and analyzes control systems to resolve software/ hardware and configuration problems.

Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
2 years of related experience in mechanical maintenance industry OR
Associates degree with a Technical focus & 1 year of related experience in general industry
Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Position Criteria:
Working in electroplating shop that contains equipment that utilizes hazardous chemicals.
Complies with all national and local safety and environmental standards, guidelines and policies by driving EBS/World class workforce initiatives such as ISO14001 and/or applicable regional initiatives.
Understanding of how to use precision gauging instruments.
Ability to proactively work with other team members under limited supervision.
This position requires standing and/or walking for an entire eight - twelve hours.
Ability to comprehend and follow technical standards and maintenance procedures.
This job requires working daily with lubricants and solvents.
Ability to lift 35 lbs.
Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze problems and perform repairs
Ability to read blueprints, schematics and drawings

Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of six (6) years of experience in maintenance
Minimum of six (6) years of experience in CNC machining, metal working and welding machines
Completed HAZWOPER Training.
Experience with maintenance of wastewater systems.
Experience with handling/working with equipment that utilizes hazardous chemicals.
