Product Manager, Cloud & Infrastructure

Job description

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Product Manager who will be responsible for managing existing and new deployment formats including, but not limited to, on-prem, private cloud, public cloud, and partner SaaS. You will also develop and own core platform features such as observability, monitoring, logging, infrastructure compatibility and sizing as well as deployment configurations.

To be successful in this role, you must have deep technical knowledge and an acute understanding of how cloud-based infrastructure and software deployment work. You should also have a strong grasp of system design architecture, from containers all the way to hardware. Ideally, you have previous experience working on cloud-based products or with a cloud service provider.

In This Role, You Will:

Lead the development and delivery of the Pryon cloud portable roadmap with a focus on on-prem, public and private cloud portabilityEnsure on-time delivery of product features, enhancements and improvementsParticipate in technical discussions with Engineering and R&D to understand how technical design decisions impact scope, timeline, and trade-offsDefine use cases, set requirements and acceptance criteria for features, utilizing an iterative approach to allow for measurement of success and adoption, and prioritization of enhancementsOwn your roadmap and set prioritization for feature delivery from technical teams by synthesizing market research, customer and prospect data, customer needs, and internal/external stakeholder expectationsDemonstrate full knowledge of the development process in your area of focus and at times be a key contributor and mindful guide to engineers and scientists on the teamInteract with customers and market thought leaders to develop a deep understanding and define product requirements and best practices for enterprise business problems and use casesDefine and document business processes that are impacted by your product(s)Author product specifications, inclusive of use cases, and activity flow diagrams; identify data sources, analytics, reporting and integration requirementsCollaborate with engineering, data science and other support teams such as user experience, QA and documentation to create exceptional solutionsLead agile ceremonies including refinement, roadmap reviews, sprint planning and stand-ups

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

Preferred M.S or M.B.A degreePreferred: Experience working on enterprise AI, ML, NLP, search, or data science-based applicationsPreferred: 2-3 years of working in an Agile environment, writing Epics, User Stories, and running Agile ceremonies and processesPreferred: Azure, AWS, and/or GCP certificationExperience in one or more of the following: cloud infrastructure, ML Ops, SaaS, Big Data, security and/or DevOpsExperience in writing logical, detailed, and complete product requirements and functional specificationsDemonstrated success in developing, effectively communicating, and executing a product vision, strategy and roadmapSelf-starter with entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a fast-paced, startup environmentKnowledgeable in technology, software architecture, and software as a service (SaaS) delivery modelsExperience working with cross-functional teams in the agile software development process
