Senior Tactical Systems Analyst (E-6B SEDSS) Patuxent River, MD
$59.00 - $80.00 per hour DOE
Position Summary
We are immediately seeking a Subject Matter Expert to join our motivated Advanced Capabilities and Expert Solutions (ACES) Division and support the Software Engineering Department Services Solicitation (SEDSS) team with an E-6B Communications focus in the Patuxent River, MD area.
The ACES Division supports Tactical Air's mission by delivering world class military aviation training, products, and support. As part of ACES, SEDSS (E-6) is responsible for supporting aircraft, mission and support system software development. This position is assigned to the PMA-271 lab in Pax River, MD to focus on communication system (HF Radio, SATCOM, Tactical Data Links, etc) development and test.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with developers to create software and system requirements and associated documentation
Participate in test documentation, scenario development and test tool adjustment
In-flight troubleshooting and testing of communication systems
Work with Original Equipment Manufacturer on system integration
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline; advanced degree preferred. Combination of background, education, and training may be considered in lieu of degree
Extensive operational experience and credentials in E-6B employment, instruction, and/or flight test.
Travel (20%) required to various work sites throughout the U.S.
Valid state driver license
US. Citizenship with a current and active Secret clearance, with TS/SCI eligibility
Desired Experience/Skills
Experience with various operational squadrons, training squadrons, test squadrons, program offices, and tactical centers of excellence
Familiarity or experience with the U.S. Armed Forces and Department of Defense (DoD) federal contractors and the aerospace, defense, or commercial aviation industry
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to conduct professional, in-person training to large and small groups of aircrew with varied experience levels
Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to correctly prioritize workload to maintain schedules, deadlines, and standards on assigned projects
Work Authorization
Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form
