Job description

CAMO, a LinQuest company is seeking an Air Refueling Operator Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team in supporting the Air Force Research Laboratory on location or remote in Beavercreek, Ohio. An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.

Background: CAMO Operational Experts provide USAF operational expertise during the full Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) process to develop requirements, assess performance and advise leaders on critical technologies and expected utilization of capabilities. This critical activity ensures that the correct tools are provided to the active warfighters engaged in worldwide operations. We are capability and solution driven experts that bridge the gap between the technologist and user so that the delivered system satisfies the operational need. Bring your expertise to this fight! The transition process that integrates warfighters and technologists (WARTECH) to rapidly integrate and provide solutions needs your help.

REQUIRED:

  • Expert knowledge of Air Refueling Operator/Boom Operator skills, along with current and future capabilities
  • Recent operational experience (within the last 10 years) and performed within a currently fielded weapon system
  • Ability to effectively communicate with diverse team members and customers
  • Instructor Qualified Boom Operator on KC-46, KC-135 or KC-10
  • Ability to adjust quickly to new organizational, technological, and employment constructs for planning and CONOPs development
  • Ability to think creatively and function as part of a high-performing team
  • Direct experience developing concepts of operation and/or courses of
  • Associate degree
  • US Citizenship and a current or recent security clearance


DESIRED:

  • Evaluator Qualified
  • Operational or Developmental Flight Test Experience
  • Multiple Major Weapons System experience as a qualified aircrew member
  • KC-46A qualified crew member
  • Bachelor's degree


Specific tasks: Provide advice and expertise during concept development and insertion into legacy and advanced mission threads and assessment vignettes; provide transition support for advanced warfighting systems. Will require presentation development, reporting and public speaking skills. This position is only available on a part-time basis.

Pay: $75-100/hour based on experience
