Job description
* Responsible for the maintenance, execution and monitory of Vista Packaging and Logistics Columbus, Ohio facility Quality Management (QMS) Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and compliance with all local state and federal (FDA) as well as all corporate policies and procedures.
* Acts as primary contact for all local, state and federal regulatory agencies pertaining to the QMS scope.
* Conducts/coordinates required Quality, Security and Regulatory assessments.
* Supports development of QMS components (i.e., Quality, Security and Regulatory training.)
* Responsible for oversight and maintenance of Corrective and Preventive action program.
* Responsible for oversight of the change control process, risk management and cGMP refresher training.
* Lead and manage a QA Team to successfully deliver the project to the required quality standards.
* Assure Quality procedures are developed, maintained, and practiced delivering customer's satisfactions.
* Work with Customer Service Representatives
* Communicate product quality information to the Manufacturing departments to correct or prevent a non-conforming product from being produced.
* Develop and implement audit schedules and plans, and coordinate/manage internal and external (3rd party) audits. (ISO, regulatory, customer, etc.)
* Requirements
* Minimum of 5 years' experience leading an ISO Quality Management System, including corrective and preventive action, auditing, document and record control, management reviews, etc.
* Experience/exposure to regulatory agencies such as FDA, food safety, organic.
* Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel within the organization.
* Ability to inspire and promote change.
* Experience/exposure in logistics environment preferred.
* Strong understanding of lot control practices and procedures
* Knowledge/experience of cGMP
* ISO Lead internal auditor experience. Certification a plus.
* Strong leadership and team development skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail; multi-tasking ability.
* Proficiency with Windows 7 or 10 Pro, and Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, WMS, etc.
* Experience with 3PL WMS system, QSSI Powerhouse preferred, including inventory activity transactions and reporting.
* Experience with QSSI Powerhouse WMS system is a plus.
* Standing and walking for most of your shift, 8 hours
* Ability to lift fifty pounds.
