Job description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Lab Manager/Help Desk Technician for a position supporting a defense contractor. This position will be fully onsite in Arlington, VA. The individual will provide incident response to civilian Government agencies and critical asset owners affected by cyber-attacks. This is an advantageous opportunity for someone to grow with a prolific cybersecurity company.
* Must hold an active Secret clearance , with the ability to obtain DHS suitability*
Responsibilities of the Lab Manager:
Provide frontline technical support for TEN Lab systems and user accounts.
Assist with setting up new users with necessary equipment and access.
Efficiently handle user requests through multiple communication platforms.
Maintain meticulous records of Help Desk tickets and asset inventory.
Support system administration, including updates and maintenance of network infrastructure.
Necessary Qualifications for the Lab Manager:
Active Secret clearance, willing and able to obtain DHS suitability
Minimum 1 year of directly relevant experience.
Proficient in multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux/Unix, MacOS) and adept at asset management and customer support.
Skilled in creating and maintaining detailed records, as well as writing technical procedures and SOPs.
Knowledgeable in virtualization, VPNs, and virtual desktops (Citrix, VMWare), with a focus on automation and optimization.
Education: BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering, or related degree; or HS Diploma and 3+ years of directly relevant experience.
Certification: Security+ is desired.
Compensation for the Lab Manager:
Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 (dependent on experience)
