We are also a distributor of Siemens Energy engines and generators for a wide range of power generation applications such as combined heat and power, waste to power, prime, and continuous. Our HR Coordinator is responsible for:
  • Assisting the HR department by maintaining accurate employee personnel records and organizing any HR-related documentation.
  • Assisting with the completion of certified payroll reports for the state of Illinois and Ohio.
  • Playing a key role in the recruitment process by posting job openings, coordinating phone screenings, and contributing to the recruitment efforts for the Power Systems Academy (PSA) in the event of the Recruiter's absence or vacancy overflow
  • Facilitating the seamless onboarding of new hires by coordinating pre-employment checks, preparing necessary documentation, organizing personnel files, and coordinating the delivery of welcome swag bags.
  • Acting as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures, providing timely and accurate assistance. Escalate any unresolved issues to the HR Director as required.
  • Utilizing HR software proficiently to input and maintain employee data, generate insightful reports, and provide support for HR analytics initiatives.
  • Assisting with payroll processing tasks including data entry and verification, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Additionally, contribute to fulfilling state-mandated Prevailing Wage Reporting requirements.
  • Contributing actively to various HR projects and initiatives such as assisting in any employee surveys and participating in events team meetings and activities.
  • Assisting with other duties within the HR department as necessary to ensure the smooth functioning of HR operations.
  • Collaborating with the HR team to identify areas for improvement in HR processes and procedures. Provide input and suggestions for enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Staying up-to-date with company policies, procedures, and culture. Continuously seek opportunities to deepen understanding of company values and goals.
  • Attending meetings as needed to contribute HR perspectives and insights to discussions on company strategy, policies, and initiatives.
  • Staying current with HR trends, best practices, and regulations by attending relevant workshops, seminars, and training sessions. Keep abreast of industry developments through reading professional publications and engaging with HR networks.
  • Being willing to occasionally travel to company branches or recruiting events as required.
  • Being adaptable and ready to take on additional responsibilities or tasks.

Requirements
  • Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred but not required)
  • At least 1-3 years of human resources experience required
  • At least 1-3 years of Prevailing Wage experience required
  • Conforms with the core values of BPS
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Ability to build a trusting rapport with employees
  • Supports diversity
  • Exhibits excellent judgment; ability to manage confidential information
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English
  • Good organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and strong attention to detail
  • Computer skills to include MS office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Publisher) HRIS Databases, data entry
  • Must represent the company in a positive manner at all times
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background, drug and credit checks
