Job description

We are seeking an experienced advocacy professional to manage our congressional engagement efforts. This individual will help shape the future of our industry by implementing our federal policy objectives, working cross-functionally with senior leaders across our advocacy, communications, legal, marketing, and product teams. This position will report to the Director for North American Government Relations and Policy and support the DJI North America office.


Primary Responsibilities:

Implement and manage an effective Federal strategy on both legislative and regulatory issues.

Build strong relationships with legislators, regulators, peer companies, and trade associations and their staff members to advance the companys goals and objectives.

Work closely with the DJI U.S. sales and marketing group to support engagements that advance DJIs position in the marketplace.


Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) required.

We are looking for at least 8 years' experience in fast-paced corporate public policy environment, with at least 5 years' experience working on congressional advocacy.

A track record of managing high-stakes, complex and challenging policy issues at the federal level.

Established relationships or professional staff position on the House or Senate Armed Services, Appropriations or Senate Commerce Committees is a plus but not required

Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain relationships with external partners.

An operational mindset that enables you to seamlessly manage internal and external processes and stakeholders.

Experience providing strategic counsel to senior executives

Sophisticated knowledge of (or experience with) relevant technology policy issues including privacy and data security.
