Applications Developer

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Develop a system application and user interface
  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
  • Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
  • Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, performance, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with Data Management personnel to ensure proper data protection policies and obfuscation protocols are adhered to by the developed system software.
  • Develop the application following the Sponsor's standards, guidance and enterprise architecture.
  • Deploy and maintain a system application and user interface
  • Leverage enterprise and cloud capabilities where possible.
  • Work with Sponsor to communicate architecture, approach, and roll-out plan.
  • Develop and support system documentation in support of the accreditation process.
  • Manage and track requirements through the team's JIRA site.
  • Provide demonstrations and user support of the production application.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE:
  • Demonstrated experience programming using modern prevalently used programming languages such as: Java, Node, Angular, React and Vue.
  • Demonstrated support and integration experience with Kafka and related technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience with new system development leveraging cloud services.
HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS AND DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE:
  • Demonstrated experience configuring cloud services on the Sponsor's systems.
  • Demonstrated experience using FidOS.
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile Methodology.
  • Demonstrated experience using Swagger.
  • Demonstrated experience using requirements tracking programs such as JIRA or Confluence.
  • Demonstrated experience with DevOps related tools such as GitHub and Jenkins.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • Experience: 10+ years
  • Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
  • Location: Chantilly, VA (On-Site)

The likely salary range for this position is $175,845 - $237,908. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
