Senior Accountant


LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for an experienced accountant for a growing company in Columbus, OH. This position involves overseeing accounting procedures, preparing financial statements, handling tax matters, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably with experience in the legal industry, and will be responsible for maintaining the financial health of the firm. This position is a permanent, direct hire opportunity that will pay between $55K and $70K annually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Coordinate and manage annual audits.
  • Prepare tax returns and ensure timely filing in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance workflow efficiency and accuracy.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
  • Conduct regular financial forecasting and risk analysis.
  • Manage payroll and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assist with budget preparation and financial planning.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities as required.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
