We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Senior Manager, Lifestyle to join our Merchandising department in Bethesda, MD. As a Senior Manager, you will lead the Lifestyle Buying team in managing vendor relationships, curating an enticing product assortment, and driving the in-store experience to new heights. You will play a pivotal role in achieving sales and margin growth, utilizing core category management principles, leading supplier negotiations, and fostering strong vendor partnerships. By leveraging consumer-led strategies, in-depth analysis, and collaborative efforts with Marketing, Promotions, Market Management, Supply Chain and Store teams, you will expand our long-term profitable sales and ensure our Lifestyle selection adds to our overall shopping experience. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Merchandising, this role offers an exciting opportunity to drive innovation and make a significant impact.

You will:

* Ensure sales goals are met by category and supplier, holding your team accountable for execution.

* Grow the Lifestyle business through strategic category analysis.

* Develop new promotional approaches to best improve sales for categories and meet category plans.

* Identify and source new assortment opportunities and guide new product or supplier decisions within the context of our current assortments.

* Seek industry and product knowledge to become the expert in your category.

* Manage Vendor Relationships across Lifestyle Categories

* Negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve favorable deals that meet budgetary and quality requirements.

* Work with Supply Chain to optimize the inventory levels, in-stocks and replenishment methods,

* Analyze sales data, consumer feedback, and market trends to evaluate the performance of products and make data-driven decisions.

You will come with:

* 8+ years experience in Buying, Category Management or Vendor Management

* Bachelor's degree in Retail Merchandising, Supply Chain, Business or relevant years of experience

* Experience in analysis of assortment, sales and/or margin data

* Strong understanding of product creation, sourcing and trend analysis

* Experience in analysis of sales and margin data

* Ability to travel 15%

* Lifestyle category knowledge a plus
