The Senior Electrical Engineer will play a crucial role in pushing the boundaries of what's possible in space technology. Responsibilities:
- Design and develop advanced digital and RF PCBs specifically for space applications, ensuring robust performance under extreme conditions.
- Lead mixed-signal and RF systems design, including link budget analysis and system optimization.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of PCB development, from conceptual design to hardware implementation and testing.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of new boards, troubleshooting issues and ensuring reliability and compliance with space standards.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate PCBs with other system components.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies.
Requirements:
- B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, with at least 4 years focused on designing PCBs for space applications
- Profound expertise in mixed-signal and RF system design
- Proven experience in bringing up and testing new boards
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by the U.S. government, due to the nature of the work involving sensitive technology
- Willingness to relocate to Northern Virginia
- Ability to work effectively in a high-paced, startup environment
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
