The Design Engineer will develop and review design concepts and documentation for industrial enclosures, linears, lifts, and drives in cooperation and collaboration with customers.

Position Summary
The Design Engineer will develop and review design concepts and documentation for industrial enclosures, linears, lifts, and drives in cooperation and collaboration with customers.
Primary Functions
- Assess customer needs and provide solutions.
- Use specs and design data to evaluate the feasibility and manufacturability of the product.
- Work directly with customers to use our capabilities to solve their problems.
- Create 3D models and/or detailed layout drawings using CAD software
- Apply applicable design and engineering standards to ensure product conformance, including NEC, OSHA, ASTM, EN, IECEx standards, and EU Directives (ATEX 94/9/EC).
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university. Mechanical, electrical, or similar are a great fit.
- Two+ years' experience of design for manufacturing. Time in a low volume, engineer-to-order environment is even better.
Skills
- Developed knowledge of design technology and product applications.
- Developed knowledge of electrical and electromechanical technology and product applications.
- Progressive capabilities related to design for manufacturability, engineering standards, and CAD/detailed drawings.
- Ability to manage complicated technical projects with service-oriented customer communication.
