Position Summary:

Revolution Space is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the design and development of our next generation in-space propulsion structural and thermal management design. Responsibilities include managing technical team with full technical, cost, & budget responsibility. Products include structural hardware for thrusters, propellant management, high voltage power, control avionics, and mechanical ground support equipment (MGSE).

The position is full-time with location options in: Greenbelt, MD area, or DC Metro Area or Boston, MA, and is available to be filled immediately.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical evaluation and oversight of high voltage power and control avionicsOversee the development, decomposition, and implementation of requirementsProvide technical, cost, and schedule development and directionAccountable for performance of the technical requirements, cost, and scheduleRisk Management and Issue resolutionPerform root cause analysis and implement troubleshooting best practicesContract and Subcontractor Management

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related filed10+ years of relevant work experience aerospace, military, or space electronics5+ years of Product Management Experience (Technical, Cost, & Schedule)Experience leading technical teamsExperience with Environmental Testing per GEVS GSFC-STD-7000 or SMC-S-016Eligibility and ability to obtain a government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Master s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field15+ years of relevant work experience aerospace, military, or space electronicsProject Management Professional (PMP) Certification or similarSupplier management and procurement experienceStructural and thermal design and analysis experienceCurrent Secret or TS/SCI clearance
