We are looking for an experienced Scientist whose work will focus on mRNA products development at our Process Development Department. The incumbent is expected to possess a comprehensive, hands-on background in aspects of molecular biology including in vitro transcription and DNA/RNA biochemical and structural analysis. Experience with LNP encapsulation and analysis is highly desired.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and perform Biochemical and Molecular Biological experiments like DNA/RNA extraction, PCR/qPCR, in vitro transcription, and LNP encapsulation.
Perform DNA/RNA analysis and report results.
Develop product specifications and SOPs.
Be able to perform routine bench work under limited supervision, prioritize responsibilities effectively, and complete assignments on time.
Be able to analyze, interpret, and present results to project teams, and write technical reports.
Assist the development of robust and scalable downstream processes like liquid chromatography (FPLC) and diafiltration/concentration (TFF).
Support the scale-up of upstream/downstream processes and technology transfer to the cGMP manufacturing and quality control (QC) groups for clinical material production/analysis.
Maintain domain expertise in new technologies and scientific literature.
QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. with 3+ years, M.S. with 1+ years of relevant experience in industry, or PhD in Biochemistry/Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Molecular Biology or related scientific subject areas with 0-2 years of proven experience.
Sound knowledge of varied aspects of molecular biology, RNA biochemistry and LNP encapsulation.
Experience with aspects of process development such as scale up, upstream and downstream processes.
Experiences with common analytical techniques such as gel/capillary gel electrophoresis, fragment analyzer, pH and osmolarity assays.
Ability to design, organize and execute complex experiments
Ability to work independently while being a team player
Able to prepare and make comprehensive presentations
