.Summary of Role:The primary functions of this position are to provide quality service to clients, manage and control client relationships, and support Producers in their efforts to attract and retain clients. The Sr. Account Executive (AE) will be the day-to-day liaison between the insurance company and designated accounts.Daily servicing of clients will include contract analysis, coverage and exposure analysis, endorsement activity, problem-solving, renewal management, preparation of quotes/proposals, and binding of coverage. The AE will assist Producer(s) with the above functions when applicable.AE should have knowledge and experience in all areas of commercial insurance. As needed, AE will coordinate with Producers on strategic account issues and potential challenges. AE is responsible for the successful fulfillment of corporate strategies and compliance with company workflows and procedures.This is a full-time position, ideally working hybrid from our Bethesda, MD office. We will consider a remote option for well-experienced CL candidates within the DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas who can accommodate office or client visits, withing the region, when required.Essential Core Duties and Responsibilities:Provide the most prompt, accurate, and professional service that customers have ever received anywhereIncrease revenue by rounding out commercial lines accountsDevelop, maintain, and manage the client relationship, always striving for excellenceSpecific Requirements:General Client ManagementBuild and maintain constructive and effective relationships with clients by meeting and exceeding expectationsProvide consistent, accurate, timely, and pertinent communication to clientsUtilize company workflows and processes to initiate and maintain contact with clients as well as to update coverages, review exposures, and discuss opportunities for account roundingRespond to client inquiries/issues promptlyResolve/assist with any service issues/questionsAssist Producers and broking team in design of or independently design insurance plans for clientsAssist clients in making appropriate coverage changes, making each contact a marketing opportunityInform and educate clients about coverage, exclusions, and exposures and document electronic files accordinglyMonitor and review client satisfactionElectronically document all communication with clientsReview policies and coveragesFollow established agency workflows and procedures for effective utilization of agency management systemTake advantage of personal and professional development opportunities such as continuing education, professional designations, and in-house trainingAdhere to all state laws and regulations regarding insurance agents (licensing, continuing education, etc)RenewalAs appropriate, market, negotiate, prepare and analyze alternative renewal optionsDevelop written, graphic, and electronic renewal materials as appropriateRespond to requests for additional information from insurance carriers and processing department in timely, professional manner, providing accurate and complete informationAccount ManagementUnderstand underwriting and rating rationale for all types of commercial policiesQuote and propose commercial lines policies, alone or in cooperation with Producer and/or broking teamProvide technical support to Producers (coverage recommendations; quoting; creation of proposals; creation and management of activities, etc) to assist clients and reach company s business goalsPrepare proposals and applications, alone or in cooperation with Producer and/or broking teamRemarket accountsMaintain agency management system files by accurately and consistently documenting conversations, inputting policy details accurately, and complying with company workflows and Policies and ProceduresBusiness DevelopmentSeek referrals from client base and assist Producer and/or broking team in placing new accountsUtilize renewal management process to round accountsOther DutiesAssist with or complete other tasks as directed by managementJob Specifications/Requirements:Property and casualty insurance license upon hireMinimum of 5 years experience in property and casualty industryMastery of commercial insurance underwriting, coverage, and rate analysisIn-depth knowledge of insurance coverages and an ability to communicate this knowledge clearly to clients and underwritersUnderstanding of marketplace trends and best practices to meet clients needsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to prioritize and self-manage workloadProficiency in Microsoft Office productsExperience with EPIC preferred or other CRM requiredWhat We OfferWe're proud to offer a competitive salary, PTO & paid holidays, 401(k) with match, exclusive discount programs, health & wellness programs, and more.
