The Executive Director holds a multifaceted role, encompassing strategic planning, leadership, financial management, program development, compliance oversight, community engagement, crisis management, and problem-solving. They are responsible for driving the organization's mission forward by developing and implementing strategic plans, ensuring fiscal responsibility, fostering a culture of excellence, and overseeing the delivery of high-quality services tailored to the needs of clients. The Executive Director also plays a crucial role in maintaining regulatory compliance, building positive relationships with stakeholders, and addressing challenges effectively to minimize disruptions to client care. Their leadership and vision are essential for advancing our commitment to empowering individuals.


Executive Director Responsibilities include:


  • The Executive Director serves as the community leader and is responsible for the financial, human resource, and operations management of the community.
  • Assures implementation of policies and procedures relating to Resident care.
  • Supervises and assists in the provision of all Resident services, including the coordination of those provided by independently contracted ancillary health care providers as requested by Residents and families.
  • Supervising recruiting, interviewing, hiring, evaluating, and disciplining Community Team Members.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of sales/marketing plans with the Director of Sales and the Sales team to accomplish occupancy targets.
  • Coordinates maintenance standards of the Community, Resident units, common areas and adjacent grounds with the Maintenance Director, according to the Company policy and state requirements.
  • Manages, coordinates, and directs all activities in accordance with state and applicable federal regulations, as well as Community policies and procedures.
  • Operates with resources provided and assures income and expenses are controlled using annual budget projections.
  • Qualifications:


    • College degree preferred.
    • RHA, LNHA, HFA preferred (required in some states)
    • Must satisfy state experience requirements to include licensure or credentials to run a senior living community.
    • Experience in managing a program or community in senior living preferred. A minimum of three to five years of leadership experience required.
