Job description

Location: Towson

Onsite 3 days a week

Responsibilities:
  • Manage, configure, and maintain our JIRA and SharePoint environments to ensure stability, high performance, and continuous availability.
  • Design and implement customized workflows in JIRA and develop custom SharePoint solutions to meet business requirements. This includes creating complex workflows, forms, lists, user permissions, and information architecture designs.
  • Integrate JIRA and SharePoint to streamline processes and improve data accessibility.
  • Utilize automation tools to enhance system functionalities and user experience.
  • Provide end-user support, training, and documentation for both JIRA and SharePoint.
  • Manage user permissions and ensure systems are user-friendly and aligned with business processes.
  • Monitor the systems' performance regularly and perform upgrades and enhancements to support business growth and changing organizational needs.
  • Ensure both platforms comply with industry standards and company policies regarding data security and integrity.
  • Facilitate project management and reporting by ensuring both systems provide accurate and timely project metrics and dashboards.
  • Act as the primary contact for Atlassian and SharePoint regarding software updates, patches, and troubleshooting.
Requires:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Requires two or more years of proven experience in administering Atlassian JIRA and Confluence. Atlassian Certification is preferred (e.g., ACP-100 JIRA Administration).
  • Proficient in managing permissions, configurations, and custom workflows, and security and issue schemas in JIRA and SharePoint.
  • Strong understanding or familiarity with JIRA dashboards and reporting capabilities.
  • Strong experience in SharePoint development and administration, including custom solution development using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Power Automate, and Power Apps. Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator Associate preferred.
  • Experience with integrating multiple systems in a complex business environment.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and training skills.
  • Knowledge of additional integration tools and platforms like Microsoft Teams and Azure is preferred.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, SQL, and JavaScript are preferred.
