Job Title: Controller
Department: Finance
Reports To: COO

Role Description:
As the Controller at PEAKE, you will oversee all financial management and reporting aspects, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory standards. You play a key role in providing financial insights and analysis to support decision-making, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring the organization's financial health.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee preparing and analyzing financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide timely and accurate financial information to management and stakeholders.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead financial planning and forecasting processes, providing insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the company's budgeting process, monitoring budget variances and providing recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow forecasting and analysis, optimizing liquidity and working capital management to support business operations.
  • Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls and financial policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Tax Planning and Compliance: Coordinate tax planning strategies and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, working closely with external tax advisors as needed.
  • Audit Coordination: Manage the external audit process, liaise with auditors, and provide support as needed to ensure timely completion of audits and compliance with audit requirements.
  • Financial Systems and Processes: Evaluate and optimize financial systems and processes to improve financial reporting and analysis efficiency, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial performance, trends, and insights to executive leadership, board of directors, and other stakeholders, providing strategic guidance and recommendations
  • Procurement Management: Manage the procurement process and oversee the procurement function.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
  • Experience in financial management roles, with a progressive responsibility and leadership track record.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Experience in managing internal controls, audit processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals.
Salary Range: $120,000-$160,000 per year
