Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Technical Support Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in electric power generation, distribution, and conversion, as well as control system development, and computer software and hardware design. This role involves overseeing the design, implementation, and support of complex systems and components, specifically tailored for submarine and surface ship applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design and implementation of electric power generation, distribution, and conversion systems.
• Conduct circuit analysis and develop solutions for power management and distribution challenges.
• Lead the development and implementation of control systems for various applications.
• Ensure systems meet performance and reliability standards.
• Design and implement computer hardware and software solutions.
• Ensure compatibility and integration with existing systems.
• Apply expertise in magnetics and fiber optics as required.
• Conduct thorough evaluations and analyses of these technologies within the context of project requirements.
• Manage the conceptual and detailed design phases of multi-functional facilities and support systems.
• Conduct evaluations of submarine or surface ship structural configurations, machinery, and component designs at both model and full scale.
• Develop and execute test plans to validate designs and implementations.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for deployed systems.

Required Skills and Experience

• B.S. in Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Electric power generation, distribution, and conversion.
  • Control system development.
  • Computer software and hardware design and implementation.
  • Circuit analysis, magnetics, and/or fiber optics.
• Experience in conceptual and detailed design and multi-functional facilities and support systems for test and evaluation of submarine or surface ship structural configurations, machinery, and/or component designs in model and full scale.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of experience with DoD acquisition processes.
• Experience in DoD/Navy program management, Industry or Government technical management, or Industry or Government business management.
• Master's Degree (MS) in a field of engineering or applied science.

Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
