As a cloud security engineer, you know how to assess and implement requirements that ensure the safety of information systems and protect them against intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. We need you to help design and implement the cloud-based solutions to some of the military s toughest challenges.As a cloud security engineer on our team, you ll design a secure, cloud-based platform to support mission critical operations. You ll guide our team as we research the environment and recommend tools and capabilities from various on premise, cloud-based, and hybrid solutions. You ll share expertise with our team through leadership and mentoring as you help the customer overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud. Your technical expertise will be vital as you work with migration teams to develop and re-platform existing capabilities and build new ones throughout the cloud migration process.This is an opportunity to use the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your customer s environment using cloud capabilities. The world can t wait.You Have: 5+ years of experience implementing and maintaining security within cloud environments on AWS or Azure3+ years of experience administrating or engineering security, network, or system infrastructure using multi-cloud security and governance toolsExperience working in an Agile development environment, and securing container and orchestration solutions, including Kubernetes, OpenShift, or managed services such as AWS EKS, GCP GKE, or Azure AKS Experience with configuration automation tools, including Ansible, Puppet, or ChefExperience implementing and maintaining a cloud security architecture and developing and evaluating security documentation (RMF), including system security plans, contingency plans, security procedures, and continuity of operations plansKnowledge of the software development life cycle and development methodologiesKnowledge of Azure and AWS cloud native services, centralized logging, SIEM/SOAR, web app security, RBAC and ABAC, Data Security, cloud native architectures, or Zero TrustSecret clearance Bachelor s degreeDoD Directive 8570 or 8140 Series IAT Level II Certification such as Security+ and Computing Environment CertificationNice If You Have: Experience with a variety of cloud technologiesExperience with programming in Python or JavaExperience with IaC concepts and tools, including AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, Packer, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templatesPossession of excellent interpersonal skills to successfully interact with clients, engineers, and managersPossession of excellent verbal and written communication skillsCompTIA Cloud+, GIAC Cloud Security Automation (GCSA), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Azure Security Engineer Associate, or AWS Certified Security Specialty CertificationClearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;Secret clearance is required.Create Your Career:Grow With UsYour growth matters to us that s why we offer a variety of ways for you to develop your career. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen s total compensation package for employees.
