That's why we need you, an experienced Network Engineer who knows how to develop the exact network the Air Force's needs.As a Network Engineer on our team, you'll use your experience in support of a mission critical Spe cia l Access Program

( SAP )

network. Under broad direction, you will provide te chn ical leadership in the planning, investigation, design, and implementation of physical and logical communication solutions having network-wide impact. You'll upgrade and develop network-wide infrastructure, troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, analyze

current

working infrastructure, and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems.As a Network Engineer, you will influence team members, the customer, and vendors to define, analyze, and provide solutions for the customers voice, data, and image communications requirements. You will identify and recommend new design tools for use in communications projects, and recommend product modifications and vendors to incorporate changes necessary in providing the required capabilities of the customer.Your knowledge will come in handy as you optimize client operations and support modernization. You'll serve as a t rus ted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects. Using your te chn ical curiosity and knowledge of industry standards, you'll make an impact on national security missions.Additionally, you will perform evaluation of projected corporate network usage to provide and implement proper media solutions.Further your career with us as we help the Air Force maintain their network and support critical partners in the DoD.Join us. The world can't wait.You Have:5+ years of experience with network administration or network engineering, including leveraging monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools, and configuring and installing network devices and services, such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, or QoS

5+ years of experience with virtual applications, including VMware vSphere, vCenter, or ESXi

Knowledge of networking protocols, such as IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, or QoS,

Ability to manage several projects simultaneously from design to implementation and perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations

Ability to report briefings and findings of complex technical and operational topics to leadership, and liaise with vendors and IT personnel for problem resolution

Ability to work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure, and advise on selection and implementation of security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with cybersecurity team

Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam

HS diploma or GED

CompTIA Security+ certification

Cisco CCNP Certification

Nice If You Have:Experience with VMWare NSX

Experience in a Cisco Advantage or DNA Center (DNAC)

Knowledge of Gem One and KG

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering

Cisco CCIE Certification

CISSP-ISSAP or CISSP-ISSEP certification

VMware Certified Advanced Professional - Network Virtualization Design certification, including VCAP-NV Design

The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
