Position Summary

RBCI is seeking a Junior Technical Writer to provide the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Enterprise Integration (OEI) with program management support services. The OEI's mission is to drive unity of effort across the Department in support of Veterans while providing high-quality, effective, and efficient assessments and counsel to VA administrations and staff offices. OEI requires contractor assistance to provide assessment and product creation support through program management, VA strategic planning process support and integration, organizational change and culture change support, human resources and staffing support, and web support. The RBCI team shall use agile industry best practices, standards, and techniques to fulfill a range of integrated program management (IPM) tasks, including delivering a variety of assessments, reports, and templates to OEI to assist the organization in supporting its stakeholders effectively. This work will require onsite, remote, and/or hybrid performance in support of OEI in locations such as Washington, DC.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Gather, analyze, and compose technical information required for preparation of user manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, reports, etc.
  • Edit functional descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables and documents.
  • Conduct research and ensure the use of proper technical terminology.
  • Translate technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, or similar discipline, or BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar discipline with extensive writing experience.
  • 4 years of experience, including experience writing, editing, and publishing reports and technical documents, as well as strong experience with computer-based systems.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and be self-motivated, along with being highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Must maintain confidentiality of work-related information and materials.
  • Expert experience with Microsoft Word, strong experience with Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a National Agency Check Inquires (NACI)
