The service region includes the counties of Clarke, Fauquier, Frederick, Page, Rappahannock, Shenandoah, and Warren, and the city of Winchester.

LFCCs Middletown Campus and the Luray-Page County Center are nestled within the Shenandoah Valley with easy access to a wide variety of outdoor recreational activities, historical sites, and a welcoming network of towns and cities where families grow, and diverse businesses thrive. LFCCs Fauquier Campus and the Vint Hill Site are located within the Upper Piedmont region of Virginia. Situated in Fauquier County, and located just 40 miles west of Washington, D.C., this area offers the opportunity for living in a beautiful rural landscape with easy access to our nations capital.

LFCC offers nearly 75 associate degree and certificate programs in a wide variety of disciplines, as well as workforce training programs for employees and employers. LFCC offers a variety of day, evening, weekend, and online classes. As one of the fastest growing community colleges in the Virginia Community College System (VCCS ), LFCC serves more than 8,400 unduplicated students through our credit courses, and over 1,300 employers through Workforce Solutions business and professional development programs. **Celebrate with Us**

In the fall of 1970, LFCC opened its doors at the Middletown Campus to 577 students taking our first classes. Beginning in January 2020, LFCC celebrated 50 years of cultivating educational opportunities and economic vitality within our community. We look forward to reflecting on our past, celebrating the present and moving forward with a renewed dedication to our community and student achievement.

Fiscal year 2021 is one of the strongest years for the VCCS in recent state budget history. The G3 (Get Skilled, Get a Job, Get Ahead) program, which went into effect on July 1, 2021, provides funding for tuition, fees, books and other expenses for eligible low- and middle-income students who are pursuing degrees in high-demand fields, including health care, information technology and computer science, manufacturing and skilled trades, public safety and early childhood education. Participants will be required to give back two hours of community service, public service, or work experience for each credit hour in which they are enrolled. Lawmakers allocated $5 million in the upcoming budget year to hire 60 additional much-needed community college advisors to help new students enroll and successfully navigate the world of higher education. Additionally, the legislature approved money to give state classified workers and college faculty (full-time and adjunct) 5-percent pay raises, effective July 1, 2021. VCCS leadership said it will work to ensure that P-14 part-time employees also receive pay raises.

LFCC continues to prepare for the future; our facility and campus improvement projects include the newly completed Luray-Page County Center (Jenkins Hall), as well as the Hazel Hall Building currently under construction at our Fauquier Campus in Warrenton.

Lord Fairfax Community College, located in the Northern Shenandoah Valley and Piedmont regions, is accepting applications for adjunct, part-time faculty positions. Positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis as needed. Responsibilities include teaching college-level courses, which may include distance learning, as well as on-campus teaching, during the day, evening, and weekends.

**Embracing Equity and Our One Virginia Plan**

Your Expertise.

Our Inspiring Culture.

Enriching Lives and Community Vitality.

We are an inclusive and engaged community and recognize the value that students, faculty, and staff from different backgrounds bring to the educational experience. These concepts are deeply embedded within our institution and governance systems and guided by strategic plans established through the Virginia Governors Office, the Virginia Community College System, and the college.

Virginias Department of Human Resource Management, in partnership with the Governors Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, established *The* *Strategic Plan for Inclusive Excellence 2021-2025*. This plan, also known as the ONE Virginia Plan, focuses on advancing inclusive excellence across the entire commonwealth, including institutions of higher learning, through changes in services, systems, and operations. *Opportunity 2027*, approved by the State Board for Community Colleges, calls for Virginia Community Colleges to achieve equity in access, learning outcomes, and success for students from every race, ethnicity, gender, and socioeconomic group.

As we fully transition into our new identity as Laurel Ridge Community College, we also embark on work guided by our own six-year strategic plan. This plan, *Engage 2027*, was created following a year-long process involving many students, staff, faculty, and community members. The thoughtful contributions of these stakeholders helped create the foundation for our local college efforts over the next six years. *Engage 2027* rests on a foundation of four core concepts: Invite, Include, Innovate, and Impact, and calls for college stakeholders to recommit to building a more diverse and inclusive college
