Location
Preference is for someone based in the Washington, DC metro area, but remote work within the US is possible. You must be legally authorized to work in the US. Bixal does not provide visa sponsorship.
What will you do?
The Program Associate will support Bixal's Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) group within the Data Practice. S/he will provide administrative, technical, and business development support.
All roles at Bixal will:
Participate in client events and forums to positively represent the organization and develop and maintain relationships with the industry.
As appropriate, play an active role in new client acquisition by supporting business development initiatives to enhance and grow Bixal's business in each of the areas that it works.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support on projects, including programming surveys, developing Findings, Conclusions, and Recommendations matrices, analyzing qualitative or quantitative data, creating data visualizations, and conducting desk research.
Draft and edit evaluation documents and reports and/or PowerPoints for project teams
Support business development process, including drafting proposal responses, updating corporate capability statements, and arranging discussions with partners.
Assist different teams in recruiting and hiring consultants and/or subject matter experts for various tasks, including screening candidates, writing terms of reference, and processing purchase orders/billing.
Provide administrative and logistical support to project teams, including developing consulting agreements and arranging travel, hotels, visas, and insurance for traveling team members.
Schedule meetings and take notes during presentations and/or trainings.
Participate in client events and forums to positively represent the organization and develop and maintain relationships with the industry.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
At least 2 years of professional work experience
Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently in a non-typical office environment
Cultural sensitivity and ability to work hours that suit clients or consultants in other time zones
Ability to follow through on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to learn
Nice to Have
Master's degree in International Relations, Political Science, Public Health, or a related subject
Professional work experience within the international development field
Work or study experience abroad
Coursework in international development
Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative analysis software, such as Stata, R, Dedoose, or Atlas. ti
$65,000 - $70,000 a year
