Position Summary
Under limited supervision, verifies budgetary informationand coordinates submission to the State of New Mexico of all official budgetdocuments for the Health Sciences Center and its various components. Oversees,maintains, and reports the finances of the Health Sciences Center accounts forall components. Coordinates the Health Sciences Center budgeting process, withemphasis on the I & G budget, F&A budgets, clinical budgets, andresearch and special project budgets. Compiles and generates a range ofcomprehensive Health Sciences Center statistical reports for all academic,clinical, and research components.

Conditions of Employment

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree;at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

1) Experience providing direction to and assisting others in projecting revenues, controlling budgets and costs, and fulfilling budgetary requirements in an academic health sciences environment.

2) Experience compiling and analyzing financial and statistical data.

3) Experience preparing specialized financial reports and analyses for university and health sciences executives.

4) Knowledge of University policies on internal allocations and transfers involving research, instruction and general, and clinical funding.

5) Experience developing and revising operating and capital budgets.

6) Experience working in Banner Finance, Budget and Salary Planner, Categorization of Reserves and UNM HR/Payroll.

7) Ability to prepare ad hoc financial and statistical reports using MS Access, My Reports and other reporting tools.
