The Role:
The Embroidery Machine Operator is a key role in providing quality service to our customers, through the custom Embroidery Department. The Embroidery Machine Operator's responsibilities include preparing garments and operating embroidery machines to embroider; names, initials and/or decorative design logos on garments.
What You'll Do:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty as assigned. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Other Duties not listed may be assigned.
Read and accurately identify customer needs per Work Instruction Document
Operating Tajima Embroidery Machine, set up
Operate industrial embroidery machinery & meet production deadlines
Confirming logo, thread colors, and product to ensure order accuracy
Changing thread, needles and bobbins as necessary
Hooping and un-hooping
Loading and unloading machines
Performing quality assurance
Conducting routine machine maintenance
Keep supplies and work area clean, organized, and safe
Additional projects and tasks as needed
Who You are:
Ability to meet established production and quality standards
Ability to use U.S. Customary ruler for making measurements
Superior hand/eye coordination
Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull and reach for entire shift
Hand and finger dexterity needed for small movements
Ability to work well in a small, collaborative team
Experience on Tajima sewing machine, preferred, but not necessary
Proficient use of computers and embroidery machinery with ability to thread a needle and understand thread tension
Color, short and long-distance vision and fine manual dexterity
Repetitive use of hands, fingers, and arms
Ability to effectively read/receive work instructions in English
Detail oriented

What You've Done:
High school diploma or GED; 1 year or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience as Embroidery Machine Operator
Physical Work Environment:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that are required by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Job is performed within a non-climate controlled distribution center environment where there may be temperature variations depending on weather conditions
Overtime may be required during periods of heavy workloads and during seasonal peak periods
Fast paced working environment
Job requires standing, walking, bending and stooping for extended periods
Job requires climbing steps and working on elevated work surfaces
Routine exposure to loud noises
