Soil Consultants Engineering (SCE) is a geotechnical engineering firm based out of Manassas VA, also specializing in testing & inspections and environmental compliance. Since 1960, SCE has been serving the residential, commercial, and public markets helping build the DMV.

SCE is seeking a marketing intern to assist in the day-to-day operations of the SCE marketing department. This is an excellent opportunity to get hands-on experience in a variety of marketing functions. You will work on a variety of projects that support brand awareness, lead generation, and overall marketing goals.

Part Time

~20 hours a week

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the creation and distribution of marketing campaign collateral such as flyers, emails, social media content, digital ads
• Assist in conducting market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities
• Contribute to internal and external communications initiatives, including the development and editing of the quarterly newsletter blog posts and award submissions
• Help to maintain and update the customer relationship management system
• Complete assigned tasks within given deadlines assigned by supervisors

Qualifications:

• Applied understanding of basic marketing principles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Obsessive attention to detail and a positive can-do attitude
• Strong time management skills
• Outstanding multi-tasking abilities
• Graphic Design skills are a big plus

Travel Requirements: Less than 5%, ability to travel to different sites for content creation and attend networking events
