Overview:

JOB TITLE: Computer Support Specialist (Tier II Desktop Support) Top Secret Required

GOVERNMENT AGENCY: DOJ NSD National Security Division

POSITION INFORMATION: Full-Time Position; Government contractor supporting DOJ NSD

LOCATION: Washington, DC (onsite)

POSITION TIMING: Position requires candidate to obtain SCI prior to starting; can take 2-4+ weeks to process

The mission of the National Security Division (NSD) is to carry out the Department's highest priority: to combat terrorism and other threats to national security. The Infrastructure Support and Software Development Services division provides all IT services necessary to support the NSD's Infrastructure & Operations as well as Software Development, Engineering, and Service Desk.



Responsibilities:
  • Provide basic troubleshooting on computer hardware and software (includes end- point patching and networking issues). Perform basic repairs of desktop PCs and printers.
  • Provide basic user assistance with the use of desktop applications and approved software.
  • Provide basic instructions for new users and refresher instructions for existing users in the use of computer systems.
  • Assist the Service Desk support by providing Tier I and Tier II support.
  • Set up and configure desktop systems, monitors, KVM switches, keyboards, mice, and printers.
  • Image new desktops with the latest approved baseline and reimage existing desktops.


Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Help Desk/Desktop Support experience
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; can be substituted with an additional 2+ years related experience.
  • Infrastructure or Networking Certifications, plus
  • Active Top Secret, required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Candidate must be able to function in general office environment.
