Our primary function is to increase the efficiency of the organization through well designed automation and infrastructure.As Data Operations Manager you will work closely with Engineering, Cloud Operations, Developer Experience, and Architecture leadership to increase stability, scalability, and reliability of all data infrastructure. You will be a working manager, responsible for 24/7 operations of our data platforms. Ultimately you will execute and automate operational processes quickly, accurately and securely. Your responsibilities will include deploying product updates, identifying production issues and implementing process improvements that meet TCGplayer s needs.

What you will accomplish:Manage operational effectiveness of internal database systems (such as MSSQL, Postgres, Elasticsearch, Redis, MongoDB, Snowflake, Kafka)Seek out and implement new technologies to continually simplify the environment while improving security and performance.Advise leadership on cost and capacity planning, design, implementation and testing of the platformTaking responsibility for production incidents, mitigating and resolving the underlying issue, and conducting post mortems to prevent the same issue from occuring againManage staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, tracking work, communicating job expectations and appraising their performanceParticipate in 24x7 on-call rotation and act as an escalation point for other Cloud Platform Engineering personnel.What you will bring:10+ years operating, scaling, and forecasting on Microsoft SQL Server3+ years experience managing data platform teams2+ years in release management or production operations2+ years of experience architecting and administering data platforms in AWSProven experience in the Microsoft web stack (ASP.NET, SQL Server)The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.At eBay, we're more than a global ecommerce leader we re changing the way the world shops and sells. What you will bring:10+ years operating, scaling, and forecasting on Microsoft SQL Server

3+ years experience managing data platform teams

2+ years in release management or production operations

2+ years of experience architecting and administering data platforms in AWS

Proven experience in the Microsoft web stack (ASP.NET, SQL Server)

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.$149,200 - $234,850

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.If hired, employees will be in an at-will position and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.Please see the
