The Nurse Manager Operating Room will be based out of the 200+ bed acute care hospital, known for their weight loss surgery, orthopedic care, maternity services, cardiac care, minimally invasive procedures and more.Reporting to the Director of Perioperative Surgical Services, the Nurse Manager Operating Room will oversee overall operations of the 12+ operating rooms, and be supported by a team of registered nurses, nursing assistants, assistant nurse managers, and nurse educators. As the leader of the department with over 65+ direct reports, the Nurse Manager Operating Room will be a resource and advocate to their team through utilizing an open door policy, coaching and mentoring staff, creating a team oriented and collaborative working environment, being a transparent communicator, and initiating disciplinary action as needed.
