Internship - Before and After School Enrichment (BASE) Program

LAMB is accepting applications for Before and After School Enrichment (BASE) Interns for SY24-25. LAMB offers a unique model that provides bilingual Montessori public education to diverse, urban families in the nations capital. Serving children in PK3 through 5th grade, LAMB is a community that is committed to children and promotes peace and equality for all. LAMB is looking to recruit enthusiastic interns to support students in our after school program. If youre looking to gain experience with students in grades PK3 through 5th grade, apply today! This is a part-time internship with hours from 2:00-6:00 pm for either an entire academic year or one semester.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and lead engaging activities for PK3 - 5th grade students
• Be an energetic, engaged, and positive role model at all times
• Implement and participate in special projects and events, as scheduled
• Maintain a daily schedule, classroom rules, the upkeep of equipment and supplies, and record-keeping
• Oversee the clean-up and organization of supplies and program spaces
• Participate in all staff meetings and professional development, as scheduled
• Assist with arrival/dismissal and recess coverage, as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Fluency in English or Spanish required; bilingual preferred
• Energetic, flexible, imaginative, and eager to work in a bilingual and multicultural public school
• Experience with Google Workspace (preferred)
• Meet health requirements, including immunizations and TB screening

Compensation

Compensation starts at $17.50/hour or community service hours can be accrued.
