Full Job Description The Restaurant on Stilts!!

Ding How is a famous local Chinese Restaurant, open for almost 40 years, is looking for friendly and efficient GM for Front of House and the Kitchen. We are a casual restaurant that strives to provide quick service, but still offer our guests a memorable dining experience and get them to keep coming back to dine with us for nearly 40 years!

***Required work experience:***

* *Overall experience in a full service dining restaurant preferred (for Front of House Leads: some experience serving, cashier, hosting, expediting food, taking orders togo on the phone and packing togo orders. For Back of House Leads: some experience with prep, cooking, inventory, placing orders with vendors preferred* *)*

* *Food Handlers Certification preferred, Food Handlers Manager Certification a plus*

* *TABC certified preferred*

* *Knowledge of the Aloha computer system preferred*

* *self starter and willing to learn*

* can handle high pressure and stress and adapt

* honest and dependable

***General Manager Responsibilities:***

* *Overseeing the flow of guests coming into the restaurant and the food being made going out to the guests. Your goal will be to make sure all the moving parts are running smoothly together and that guests have a good experience.*

* *Assist any positions in the entire Restaurant when any of the positions are busy. Be able to identify when and which positions need to be helped.*

* *Check for readiness of the restaurant and all staff at opening time and at closing time and be able to trouble shoot any issues that may arise.*

* *Be responsible for closing the restaurant*

* *Must be able to work nights and weekends*

* *Must take ownership of the entire restaurant's success*

* *Inventory and placing orders with vendors*

* *Maintain all product flow*

* *Train new prep/dish personnel*

* *General clean up/maintenance; lead a crew in cleaning/maintenance*

* *Be responsible to close the kitchen*

* *Must be able to work Monday-Friday and one weekend day looking for about 50 - 60 hours a week*

* *Must be Expected to learn and master all kitchen positions*
