PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Provides outstanding customer service to internal and external customers in the safest manner possible. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Performs basic Stores Department functions, which include the issuing, handling, and storage of the inventory.
- Performs basic activities relating to the collection and separation of the Company's salvageable materials.
- Performs routine manual assignments in conjunction with assisting higher classified employees while performing their assigned duties.
- Performs general housekeeping functions necessary to maintain a safe and orderly work environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience demonstrating skill working within a warehouse environment to include:
- Receiving, storing, issuing, transferring and/or shipping inventory (for example, tools and/or parts).
- Driving/operating a fork truck and pallet jack.
- Performing general housekeeping functions (for example, sweeping, removing older/deteriorating stock).
- Ability and willingness to perform physically challenging tasks for extended periods of time (for example, lifting up to 50 pounds, entering and exiting trailers, bending, twisting, kneeling, pulling/pushing, standing, walking and squatting).
- Ability and willingness to wear and use safety equipment as required by Federal, State, local and company regulations (for example, ear plugs, steel toed shoes, work gloves and hard hat).
- Ability and willingness to work in a variety of work environments including outdoors in all weather conditions and in noisy and dirty environments, with proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability and willingness to travel to various Company facilities and vendor locations, in order to make deliveries or pick-ups, as required.
- Ability and willingness to work at various Company locations as required.
- Ability and willingness to work non-standard hours, shift work and/or overtime as required.
- Must successfully pass qualification test.
- Must successfully pass a Criminal History Background Check which consists of a 7-year criminal records check for felony convictions, if applicable.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
PREFFERD QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of tools, equipment and materials used in a power plant, gas and/or electric utility environment.
- Experience demonstrating skill setting up and maintaining a filing system.
- Experience demonstrating skill providing customer service to internal and external customers.
- Experience demonstrating skill using inventory software.
- Experience demonstrating skill using a barcode scanner in a warehouse environment.
