We are seeking a Pediatric Research Nurse to support the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, MD. This is an on-site position, with required occasional local travel to patient's homes.

TASKS/SERVICES

  • The mission of the Metabolic Bone Disorders Unit is to enhance health and well-being for children with skeletal disorders by developing novel diagnostic tools and treatments informed by studies of physiologic mechanisms.
  • Perform clinical trials duties in accordance with standards of nursing practice and the Code of Ethics and maintain awareness of what constitutes falsification of data or other research misconduct.
  • Coordinate and implement clinical research protocols.
  • Educate and counsel patients participating in clinical trials.
  • Expert in regulatory affairs related to clinical trials research
  • Facilitate the lifecycle of clinical research trials
  • Work closely with a diverse team of health care providers to provide patient care and conduct clinical research.
  • Facilitate patient recruitment and enrollment into on-going clinical trials.
  • Ensure compliance with protocol and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage clinical research data and provide data quality assurance.
  • Promote the utilization of community resources.
  • Data Management and Data Entry


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Documentation (licensure) of current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a nurse in the state of Maryland.
  • Minimum five (5) years of specialized professional Research Nursing with regulatory experience
